Updates
Morning:
Starting to get used to the timezone change and adjusting to a sleeping schedule so I woke up fairly early at 7am. Slept in my moms bed with my kitty, Marie. Ive had her since I was 19 so she is a good 14 years old or so and needed someone to cuddle with. Got up and got dressed early cuz I had to take my brother to the clinic and pick up my mom from the hospital since she was being discharged today! So me and my brother got breakfast and headed over as soon as we got word. Very exciting news to hear there is no cancer in the lymphnodes and that it is not spreading, so we are hoping and praying they took all the cancer out with the surgery.
Noon:
Took a while to get discharged officially so we left the hospital around noon. Got air in the tires, picked up my moms pain meds and soon we were off for home, which is about a 30 minute drive from downtown. Slowly getting used to the speed difference here as well since I am the one driving everyone around (my brother lost his license and mom cant drive for a week until her incisions are healed). Its 70 mph here vs 55 in Oregon so its quite the change! Plus people here are way more aggressive when driving. Scares the hell out of me now that Im used to going slow!
Evening
When we came home, all of us were pooped so we all went to our beds and took a nap. Still catching up on lost sleep so its nice to take a nap but man the headaches arent worth it. About to get started on dinner and run to the store because my brother wastes all the dog food on feeding the strays. *rollseyes* Waiting to hear from my boyfriend, since theres a 2 hour time difference and he just got off work but hoping to talk to him tonight over the phone. My poor cat is suffering without me and I feel so bad but I was talking to my mom about going home in about a week after her main incisions heal. We are staying hopeful and positive that she has a nice and fast recovery.
