Kingdom: Animalia


Phylum: Porifera

Porifera is a phylum of Animalia that are primitive multicellular animals also more commonly known as the Sponges.


Phylum: Cnidaria

Cnidaria (Coelenterata) are also known as jellyfish or sea anemone's which have two basic body forms called polyps and medusa.


Phylum: Platyhelminthes

Platyhelminthes, mostly known as the flatworm, is a simple bilaterian and unsegmented body plan invertebrate.


Phylum: Annelida

Annelid's are also known as segmented worms such as earthworms, leeches and ragworms.


Phylum: Nematoda

Nematoda are also known as roundworms and are mostly parasitic.


Phylum: Arthropoda

Arthropoda are also known as the invertebrates of animalia, protected by an exoskeleton usually made of chitin.

Mollusca, the second largest phylum of animalia, are a unique phyla including families such as the gastropods and cephalopods.

Echinodermata are also known as starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers.


Phylum: Chordata

Chordata is the 3rd largest phylum in the animal kingdom featuring species with a notochord and other features that separate them from other taxa.
