I don't know why but I really enjoyed this movie. Call it the inner little girl that yearns for catchy pop music and horror films but I thought this sequel was done really well. Better than the first, in my opinion. I love how they started the movie directly after the first one's ending, and russian is a bonus. This one definitely has its scary/thriller moments and I LOVED the ending where you get to actually see the monster. I recommend a watch for a chick-themed horror.

I didn't think I would like this one but it surprised me, as I really enjoyed it. It's got a slight comical feel to it's horror aspects especially as the film goes on. Esentially, it's one of those movies thats broken into pieces or parts, which I, again, don't care for, but I think the director did it nicely as it blends towards the end and you'll see whey. Props to the cordyceps easter egg (last of us) and controlling minds leading you to think the reasoning behind the missing children to be a misdirection. This movie gets a 4/5 with horror and jump scares, because that aunt's wig fucking creeped me out. Got hella longlegs vibes. Also Josh Brolin is great, and I found Julia Garner slightly attractive for some reason. I recommend a watch at least once, if you like horror/thrillers with just a little bit of comedy mixed in enough to make it not scare you for life like Hereditary. Ha. I put this under thriller because I felt like it had more action going on that horror but definitely could be both.

I absolutely love art the clown, all the way from the beginning in all hallows eve, so I was already quite a bit of a fan when this movie came out. I was so excited I had to go see it in theaters, which I had planned to do with my ex but we ended up parting ways and so I went to go see it myself. And boy did it absolutely deliver! Lots of gore right from the beginning and just gets even better. My favorite scene is the couple in the shower as Art overhears them confessing their fantasies with him. Next thing you know, boom, chainsaw up the butt.

I also absolutely loved Victoria's character, starting out with the mastubating knife scene. But towards the end, there's a slight twist that makes me wonder about the next movie coming out in the franchise that Art is actually some kind of demon and I hope they delve into that a little more in the upcoming films. And the part with the medieval act of rat torture is just a cherry on top as creative ways to add into modern horror. I definitely reccomend this movie but not until you first watch one and two, as the lore heavily falls on two especially. And, bonus, this movie counts as a halloween AND christmas movie!
