Horror
Horror is my absolute favorite genre so expect a lot of reviews here! My love for horror started out young when I would sneak into the living room in the middle of the night as a kid and watching evil dead or puppet master with my dad. As I went down a very emo and goth path in life, it only expanded my curiosity with the genre, not just in movies but books and music. I quickly acquired a taste for old school B horror movies and cult classics. I hope you like my collection of horror films I have here, and if you would like to recommend one, I'd love to hear what you think! please reach out to me on my neocities profile here.

This one is definitely a weird cosmic horror masterpiece and I highly recommend a watch. I first saw this movie with my ex as it was his first horror film ever and recently again with my dad for the first time so it holds a little sentiment in that aspect. At first, the acting seems not that great, well at least when they visit the grandma.. ha! But man does it take a turn and the tall man is absolutely horrifying. I always laugh at the finger part and the practical effects are pretty b horror, as there isn't much of it. **SPOILER** The ending is my favorite part though when they finally come across the portal to another world, so you start to wonder if its alien or demonic. Giving this a 4/5 soley because of the cheesy guitar scene that totally doesnt need to be there because cringe. BOOOOOOYYYYYYYYY!

First of all, let me just say, tits. Yes this movie has them. Yes they are worth the watch. With that out of the way, it's also one of my favorite horror films taken from H.P. Lovecraft's short story. I'm a huuuuge Lovecraft fan and cosmic horror in general is just, absolute perfection. This movie is a little less that though, with more body horror and gore towards the end. Some of my favorite practical effects from the 80s! I didn't really feel the need to give it all five stars because I always found the plot a little boring, even though it is a b horror/cult classic, but zombies are a hard sell for me. Herbert West has to be one of my favorite mad scientists and the pencil scene cracks me up every time.

I absolutely love art the clown, all the way from the beginning in all hallows eve, so I was already quite a bit of a fan when this movie came out. I was so excited I had to go see it in theaters, which I had planned to do with my ex but we ended up parting ways and so I went to go see it myself. And boy did it absolutely deliver! Lots of gore right from the beginning and just gets even better. My favorite scene is the couple in the shower as Art overhears them confessing their fantasies with him. Next thing you know, boom, chainsaw up the butt.
I also absolutely loved Victoria's character, starting out with the mastubating knife scene. But towards the end, there's a slight twist that makes me wonder about the next movie coming out in the franchise that Art is actually some kind of demon and I hope they delve into that a little more in the upcoming films. And the part with the medieval act of rat torture is just a cherry on top as creative ways to add into modern horror. I definitely reccomend this movie but not until you first watch one and two, as the lore heavily falls on two especially. And, bonus, this movie counts as a halloween AND christmas movie!
